I first discovered yoga about 10 years ago in a small community hall in Bangor as a very shy and anxious young adult. Yoga almost immediately felt to me like "coming home" and it still does every time I roll out my yoga mat. Yoga gives me confidence, respect for my body and the ability to quieten my busy mind.
I carried on my yoga practice throughout my 20s, but it wasn't until a trip to northern India in 2019 that I realised I needed to know more about the ancient practice. I completed my 200 hrs in Hatha Yoga at Santosha Yoga in Lisburn and now it fills me with joy to be able to share my learnings so far with others in my own yoga classes.
